This summer, I had the pleasure of joining Giant Spoon as a writing intern in Los Angeles. As a brand new student at Book Shop School for Ads with no agency experience, this opportunity felt like my first real shot at the creative advertising world, and proof that pivoting my career was the right move.

Over 10 weeks, I got to work alongside brilliant creatives, strategists, and account teams on clients like Lucid Motors and Autodesk. I pitched print copy, scripts, social content, and culturally resonant strategies, rolling up my sleeves and learning something new every single day.

The experience not only confirmed that I chose the right path, but gave me space to think more strategically, step up as a leader, and grow as a teammate. For that, I’m very grateful.

T’MARO SPIRITS

In my final week, I was invited to a meeting with Giant Spoon’s CCO and co-founder to tackle a project for T’MARO — a first-of-its-kind, sustainable, woman-owned spirit made from Coachella Valley dates. My AD partner and I were challenged to create a set of billboard concepts that introduced the brand and spotlighted its singular ingredient, while holding its own as an OOH placement.

With a quick turnaround, we developed a collection of boards that showcased this new category of adult beverage in a league of its own.

A spirit of today, consciously crafted for the world of T’MARO.
